A circular shelf-like structure slowly rotates. Its frame incorporates a five-pointed star, with an apple-shaped object placed atop. As the Earth continues its rotation, the artwork likewise turns, constantly inverting top and bottom. Apple, star, moon, Earth; museum, artwork, viewer—each exerts its own gravitational pull, forming a constellation of interrelated presences. The work functions as a device for shifting perspectives, prompting us to imagine a view from outside our habitual position.

円形の棚のようなオブジェがゆっくりと回転する。棚板は五芒星の形に構成され、棚の上にはリンゴ型のオブジェが置かれている。地球が自転し続けるように、作品は上下を絶えず入れ替えながら回転する。林檎と星と月と地球と、美術館と作品と鑑賞者と、それぞれが引力を持ちながら、それぞれに関係を作る。自分の立ち位置とは別の視点を見ようとするための装置の一部。

In Apple on the Desk / The Table Beneath the Fruit, either the apple spins or the table does—depending on the moment and perspective. Through the interplay between a rotating apple and a still table—or vice versa—the work hints at the ways the world shifts depending on where one stands. It reveals how perception is not fixed, but rather reconfigured by movement, position, and relational context.
《机上の林檎／苹果の下の卓》は、一方は林檎が、他方では机が回っている作品である。回転する林檎と静止する机、静止する林檎と回転する机という二つの関係を通じて、見る位置によって変わる世界のあり方を示唆する。

A white, circular painting that reveals a faint lunar image—its waxing and waning—when viewed from an oblique angle. Like gazing at the moon reflected on a lake’s surface, the image only emerges when the viewer refrains from a direct, frontal gaze. The work becomes an apparatus for visualizing the structure of perception and the shifting dynamics of looking.
白く円形の絵画作品。斜めから見ることで、満ち欠けする月の像がうっすらと浮かび上がってくる。湖面に映る月を覗き込むように、正面からではなく斜めから鑑賞することで成立する視覚体験をつくり出している。鑑賞者の見る角度によって現れるイメージは、知覚の構造と視線の動きを可視化する装置でもある。
「Soft Territory かかわりのあわい」2021年06月27日(火) - 2021年08月22日(土)
滋賀県立美術館リニューアル記念展「Soft Territory かかわりのあわい」にて発表した作品。 ペインティングと回転する星型のオブジェ、机とリンゴによって構成されたインスタレーション作品。
